Problem

The energy industry is transitioning to low carbon energy sources to minimize emissions, create social development, and provide energy security. Per global agreements governments are committed to decrease emissions and financial institutions are enforcing these requirements. Developing countries are seeking energy security at an affordable cost using domestic energy sources.

Our Solution

REHM provides a means to extract gaseous methane from globally abundant methane hydrates. It uses Electro Magnetic Resonance (EMR) to selectively transfer energy for the dissociation of methane from hydrate. Resulting methane is used as fuel for power generation, with emissions converted to fertilizers for afforestation, and surplus reinjected underground. The process will be self-sustaining using biofuels when forestation is initiated. It is globally applicable due to presence of hydrates near population centers and decentralized community operated projects are visualized.

The target audience are government policy makers, energy companies and financial institutions specifically in India that has an abundance of hydrates and seeks energy security and independence.

Global Reduction in Pollution

Due to global/ocean warming methane gas is released to the atmosphere from oceanic hydrates causing major air pollution. It can be captured and safely processed using REHM technology and funded by environmental credit programs
